Northern Dance Theatre (NDT) is committed to maintaining open and effective communication with our students, parents, and staff. This policy outlines our communication methods and expectations to ensure that all members of our dance community stay informed and connected.

• Email: Our primary method for sending important announcements, schedules, and updates.
• Website: www.ndancetheatre.com will contain up-to-date information on classes, events, and policies.
• Social Media: Official NDT accounts on Facebook and Instagram will share news, highlights, and reminders.
• In-Studio Postings: Important notices will be posted on bulletin boards in the studio. - Email Communications
• Parents/guardians are responsible for providing a current email address and checking it regularly.
• Please add noreply@ndancetheatre.com to your safe senders list to ensure receipt of our emails.
• If you are not receiving our emails, please check your spam folder and contact the office to verify your email address. - Time-Sensitive Information
• For last-minute changes (e.g., class cancellations due to weather), we will use:- Text messaging (opt-in required)

• Access your account, view schedules, and make payments through our online parent portal.
• Login information will be provided upon registration. - In-Person Communications
• Staff members are available for brief conversations before or after class, as time permits.
• For longer discussions, please schedule an appointment with the instructor or studio director. - Parent-Teacher Conferences
• Formal conferences can be scheduled upon request to discuss a student’s progress or concerns. - Progress Reports
• Students will receive progress reports at the end of each semester. - Photography and Social Media
• Please refer to our Media Release Policy for guidelines on sharing photos or videos of classes or performances. - Concerns or Complaints
• We encourage open dialogue. Please bring any concerns to the attention of your child’s instructor or the studio director.
• For sensitive matters, please email director@ndancetheatre.com or call the studio to schedule a private meeting. - Emergency Contact Information
• Ensure that your emergency contact information is always up to date in our system.
• Notify the office immediately of any changes to your contact information. - Communication from Students/Parents
• We welcome feedback and questions from our dance families.
• Please allow up to 48 hours for a response to emails or voicemails during business days. - Class Observations
• Parent observation weeks will be scheduled periodically throughout the year.
• Dates for observation weeks will be communicated via email and posted in the studio. - Newsletter
• A monthly newsletter will be emailed to all families, highlighting upcoming events, important dates, and studio news. - Language and Tone
• All communications from NDT will strive to be clear, respectful, and positive.
• We expect the same courtesy in all communications from students and parents.
By enrolling in classes at NDT, students and parents agree to stay informed through the communication channels outlined in this policy. Effective communication is key to a positive dance education experience, and we appreciate your partnership in this effort.
